2nd saga..... Houston to St. Louis Approaching Springfield MO Battery light goes on, check engine light goes on, ABS light goes on, Seat belt lights goes on. Engine is racing out of control. 70 miles per hour we are isolated and barely making off the highway 44. The engine stops just like the first time. Hotel, car rental and towing. We are now on our way to the VW Dealer in Springfield MO. It's Sunday. We drop off car with the note of the problem saying we just had this same issue 600 miles ago. The battery is burnt out, the ALTERNATOR IS THE FAULT. I don't think I mentioned that West Houston VW removed the Alternator and then put it back in. BUT THE BEST IS This is a different issue and VW Corp. West Houston VW is not taking responsibility for anything. The exact sequence of alerts came up on the dash board, the racing engine, but it is not the same. VW Springfield is in the middle. They said Corp. said the battery is not covered. 24 hours old. Repairs are of course being made.... I need a vehicle.... My personal problem is getting rid of this LEMON. I am not good with giving problems to the unsuspecting buyer.
