Tiguan S 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

My 2010 Tiguan with only 50,000 miles on it just failed due to a broken timing chain/tensioner. I know there was a lawsuit in the past regarding this issue which likely never came up due to the low miles I put on. Now I am told the only option is to sell it to a scrap yard for $800. It's in perfect condition and a week ago I could have sold it for nearly $10,000.

Tiguan Limited Standard

  • Automatic transmission

The 2010 VW Tiquan has been the WORST car I ever bought. It was for my daughter and regularly maintained etc. These problems are KNOWN defects by VW and their crap dealers. They offered NO help, only lame excuses why these things went bad. Look up these issues before you buy any VW or Audi.

Timing Chain and Tensioner, Problems with Water pump associated with this too.

Sunroof drains are defective and will FLOOD the interior. Cost $1000 to have replaced. Again, KNOWN defect from the brillian Germain Engineers. Dealer said it was drivers responsibility to clean out drains??

The guy said mud dobblers build nests in there, could be the problem. Who has ever heard of this??

Bottom Line as soon as I can I will buy my daughter a new car and crush this one for the price of the metal.
