engine always ran fine. no problems with the engine...until, out of no where, my wife was pulling into our driveway and it stalled. Then would not turn back on. It would just turn over and over, without firing. Had to have it towed to VW. They said there was no compression in 1 cylinder, which means there was a bent valve that was due to a broken timing chain, or stretched timing chain. Which means, they would have to replace the entire engine to fix it. The estimate to due so was 12,000.00. This is when we finally decided to end our time with the Touareg. No more VW's for life.
