This is the dash display, when the car is running, the display DRL(Daylight Running Lights) is highlighted on the dash...between the Speedometer and Tachometer and it creates a buzzing noise .. .in the same area as all trouble indicators...ie Seat belt, Brake, Check Engine etc. In my case there is a control module under the glove compartment which has 4 or 5 circuit modules attached to a circuit board. The problem could be one of the modules or it could be a faulty circuit on the board.
I was able to contact the Honda dealer today and he verified that this component is the same as the one used in the Honda Civic and they had two units in stock for $131.66 each for the complete unit. I may attempt to repair this one if it's the circuit board. The board is also connected to the headlight control switch, as I realized a few days ago, when it's running only my left headlight running light is on. When I turn on the headlights the DRL light is deactivated, however, my right highbeam headlight does not work, just low beam.
I believe it's a common problem with the Honda vehicles but having talked to the Dept. of Transport, Canada, it doesn't warrant a recall, even though Daylight Running Lights are mandatory in Canada.
