I have read on numerous sites, reports and blogs that this problem is common with all MDX models from 2003 to current. If it is under warranty, that would be one thing. Out of warranty is quite a different matter. Very expensive to fix!!!
It would seem to me that HONDA would want to get this issue off the table because it can be a very expensive repair. Doesn't speak all that highly for their flagship Acura product line all having the same problem. Not to mention that if the torque convertor were to fail internally the collateral damage would result in a complete transmission failure. Which of course could leave you stranded along side the road. And then you raise a whole new set of concerns and issues.
