About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
I purchased a new 2004 Acura TL and it has a driveline vibration at speeds of 48 to 60 mph. Because of the vibration, you have to drive the car above 60 mph to eliminate the driveline vibration. I think this is a safety related issue and you should do something about it!

My 2004 Acura TL has a consistent vibration problem when the car is running between 50 and 60 mph. The vibration seems to come from the front of the car, and it is not present when the car is running at speeds less than 50 mph or greater than 60 mph. I reported the problem to my dealer and they assured me that it was a problem with the tires. They replaced the tires, but the problem persists. I have called Acura customer service several times to report the problem, but they indicate that the vibration is a characteristic of the car. I have never had any other car with a similar characteristic, and I believe that the problem is a design defect which Acura is choosing not to fix.
