About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.

Driving on highway and gas pedal failed to operate proper....after slowing down to about 20 mph it started up again and I regained the speed of about 60. Then in about 2 miles it happened again, I got off the highway and took to the closest Acura dealer. They replaced the app sensor and noted "pedal position sensor failure" the pedal position sensor was replaced. This happened on June 5, 2012, then on September 3, 2012 I was parking in our office parking lot and the gas petal accelerated as I was putting the gear shift in the park position. I accelerated so fast I hit the concrete stop took off airborne went over the embankment and down to the street below. Needless to say the car entire front end was wrecked. The seat belt did indeed save me from more serious injury than I did received.
