New battery would go bad after a few years. Bought this car in 2009 and as of today I have bought 4 batteries. The last time the battery died, I had it towed to an auto shop and they said something was draining the battery but could not tell me why. This was in 2018 and drove the car for a few more years. I started having problems getting the Bluetooth to connect. It was reading out Booting up. Took it to Acura and told them what was going on and I was told, the Bluetooth was not connecting and was still trying to after the car was turned off. They disconnected the Bluetooth at no charge.

After doing some research I found a Class Action Law Suit in California for the Acura faulty Bluetooth module. Acura knew about the module and notified the dealers and not to the consumer. Most owners didn't know what was causing the battery drain and still don't know if they didn't do some research. Acura was found guilty of California Unfair Business Practices Act.

You can buy a replacement module (HFL) from Acura for a ridiculous price but the replacement modules are also defective and Acura knows this.

Update from Jul 7, 2020: Honda/Acura knew the HFL modules were defective and the replacement were also defective and they knew that too.

They only notify the dealers. They did not inform the customers about the battery drain.

Understanding that electronics have issues, I am still surprised that I have had to replace the Bluetooth module twice in three years in which I was told after the first one failed, it just passed its one year manufacturers warranty so too bad, just buy another one even though we know these modules have issues as said by the Acura dealer. What makes matters worse is that the same thing happened to my other 2007 Acura in which I had replace to module at 64000 miles. That's 3, yes THREE damn modules I have had to pay for. Luxury my ASS.
