Perforated leather rips. It's just fragile. Nothing more to say really.

I am the original owner and the vehicle has low mileage (less than 60,000)
Awful, cheap, perforated leather, does not perform well. It didn't withstand normal use. The leather rips along the perforations and is very unsightly. I expected much better quality from a "higher end" vehicle.
The cost for the materials alone for two seats is $1,200.00 which is absurd .
Very disappointed. Think twice before purchasing a vehicle from Acura with this kind of leather.

So this is a very common problem with this car, it has perforated leather, but very poor quality. The intense heat dries out the seats and then next thing you know the leather starts cracking and buckling down. After a while big rips and tears start happening. It got very annoying and finally after 2 years of dealing with it I decided to get the front and passenger seats re-skinned and it cost about $500 per seat after shopping around. Most places wanted $800 per seat and luckily I found a place that gave me a good deal. I think after this model they have improved the quality of the leather significantly, but the interior quality is just garbage.

Both front seats are cracking. The rear seat has a rip. The front passenger seat has a rip. The leather is not holding up well.

I had a 16 year old Accord with a like new seats, but this luxury version of the same car at 7 years has tears in both front seats and the back. This is the poorest quality of seat covers I have ever owned and I keep my cars for 10 years or more, all in better shape than this Acura.

purchased TL used .38,000 mile. week later rip developed in drivers seat. dealer says not under warranty not under extended warranty. I pay $300 for that panel in seat to be repaired. I cleaned and treated seats with leather cleaner and treatment from Acura. 7 months later a different seat panel cracks and rips (splits ) open.
another $300 another panel replaced. Now 14 Months after purchase passenger seat cracks . Then splits open. I will never buy another Acura . I have owned a Lexus , Infiniti , Toyota and Honda's . Never been just flat told to piss off over something like leather interior. Dealer said they would repair for $1300. BS

My passenger front seat has 3 rips in it. The worst one is where your upper back would be. It’s a huge rip! And goign to be hard to sell and expensive to fix. My driver seat is also starting to rip in a couple different places. Very upset about this!
