A4 Quattro 2.0t

  • Automatic transmission
  • 248,000 miles

It seems the cams jammed, when they slipped . "Seized". And the crankshaft kept moving, and the belt was smoothed out where the shaft burned into the belt. Car was moving approximately 40 mph. Shut down engine, while still in motion. It has not run since. There are possibilities, of so many. New engine, top and bottom, is where it seems to be going. Car has had papers, maintenance and has been well taken care of. I am the new owner. And now I have a very nice looking lawn jockey. Is this what Audi's do at 250000 miles . My Ford and Chevy, made it through this quarter million miles, with no such sudden demise.

A4 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,000 miles

At 85000 miles I had to replace my timing chains. After many weeks of complaining I got Audi to cover half the price of parts. This was manufacturer defect you would think they should have covered all the costs. I changed the oil religiously.
