From conducting Google searches, I discovered that this was a fairly significant problem on 2004-2008 Audi A4s and that were recalls--but not on the 09s. Audi covered only 50%, even though it was only 3,700 miles outside of the warranty--and they knew this has been a lingering problem. Same vehicle also had piston rings and head gasket replaced at 40,000 miles. Red flags everywhere.
