the thermostat housing and water pump leaking the thermostat housing and water pump leaking

2017 A4 - 64,000km when issues addressed.

Came in for a checkup and confirmed these issues with two shops; a failing output shaft seal on the transmission, a coolant water pump that's starting to fail, and a seeping ATF oil pan.

I tried to get Audi Canada to work on it as a part of their class action pump settlement but no dice, Audi Barrie (where I bought the sedan used at 44,000km offered a 20% discount but also quoted 2500$CAD + 300$ diagnostic fee for the work on the pump alone. My Oil Change Audi Specialist shop missed these leaks because the oil changes were on the ground, and it seems like it's been going on for a while.

It would go down yearly for the two or so years I had it and I thought it was winter coolant level changes, but upon a second opinion at another independent non-dealer shop they showed me the coolant leaks and confirmed it needed to be replaced for a grand total of 1081$ CAD (821USD).

Don't take coolant levels falling lightly, and don't settle for on the ground oil changes always.

There are many Audi owners over the internet had the same issue. Audi must know this issue and upgrade the part with the new parts number. It happened when the warrenty just expired. Audi should cover the cost of the repair.
