The just quit while driving on the road with no warning or any error codes/messages. Spent $500 to tow the car to Audi dealer 70 miles away. The Gateway Module failed due to water contamination. This was a known failure item and Audi had issued a recall on it. I had scheduled a service appointment to do the recall, but the module failed prior to the appointment. The part had to be ordered from Germany and it took 5 weeks to get my car back. The dealership did provide a loaner and charged nothing for the repair, but it still cost me $500 in towing fees and the aggravation of being stranded at 10 pm.

This is an issue that Audi has to get fixed. If they have a solution, they need to tell their customers, and if not, they need to tell their dealers to stop selling those vehicles until they can come up with a solution. I just bought the car and haven't made the first payment yet.

2019 Audi A6 with 62k miles had battery light alert after not being driven over a week (holidays) on a 35 degree day. Pulled over & read the manual and it said non-driving and cold weather could cause this. I called the dealership service team and asked them if this was the cause or something else as it had never done this before. They said possible b/c of of cold/non-driving for a week. I decided to drive to dealership. En route, 20 min later on the HOV lane, car's dashboard started flashing red lights/warning lights to stop driving and 5 seconds later everything went black. No electrical, no engine, no power steering. Called tow truck, in HOV narrow lane for 55 min until it arrived in Houston. SO DANGEROUS... Audi West Dealership acted like they had never heard of this happening but really knew as this issue has been reported since 2023. Shame on them.
