I have heard of many of the Audi 7 and 8 series with this problem. Steering makes noise when turning. Expensive to fix and time consuming. Audi's power steering is a closed unit and it is not one you can add or check fluid. Whole rack and pinion has to be replaced. I was lucky at cost of $3500. Although my A7 has many kms (roughly 80k miles) I have had vehicles with much higher mileage not needing a power steering replacement with this kind of cost. With other vehicles experiencing similar issues at much lower mileage I think this is a concern. More people need to post this issue if they are experiencing it.
