2021 Audi Q3, no accidents, less than 20k miles. Really nice vehicle overall.

I still own an Audi A4 with no mayor problems in over 15 years. I liked the car so much that when I decided it was time to get a modern car, I purchased the Audi Q3 and stayed with the brand.

However, this time I ran into a mayor repair soon. The A/C evaporator on the Q3 failed and it's a very costly repair, few thousands of dollars!

Did a quick search over the Internet and there is a warranty extension for this type of premature evaporator failure on Audi models around the same manufactured years, but the Q3 is not included unfortunately.

I haven't found reports of this been identified as common issue with the Q3, so I guess I just got unlucky.

What I have found, however, is that evaporator failure is such a common issue nowadays for many cars models, all brands, that I'm wondering why a car part that is so easy to break is placed in a such a difficult place to service it.
