AC/heater system fan would not work intermittently. This was a problem when the front defroster was needed (for safe driving) but fan wouldn't blow, or getting into a hot vehicle and AC wouldn't blow. Usually happened at startup, and might kick in after 15-30 minutes of driving, which is still unacceptable b/c can't drive car with fogged up front window. Since the whole AC/heater system is so complicated we thought it was "user error", but eventually determined that it was a "hardware error". In googling the problem, it is attributable to the controller, yet Audi replaced the blower and controller, and the parts are about $1000 at the dealership. If I were retired and had the time, I'd buy the parts online for less than half the dealer cost and install myself. Brutal brutal rip-off, but I guess they figure: If the guy can afford to overpay for an Audi, he can afford to overpay for everything else....
