I hit the freeway and before 1st offramp the EPC light came ON and the car switched off in the middle lane. I rolled to the yellow line and tried to start again nothing. I called Audi Roadside assistance and they towed the car to Audi West Rand. I called on Monday and they said they drove my car around a few times and it was fine, but they will perform more tests. On Tuesday I had to call again myself no one bothering to update me, I was told the car is not showing any signs of trouble and it seems fine. I then asked if I would get my vehicle back or a courtesy car as I was destitute with my 2 year old who I transport to crèche every morning with me to work. I was told there is a waiting list for courtesy cars and they cant help me so I said can I have my car back since there is no problem with it then, I was told they would test drive it again and contact me. I was given the car on Wednesday and told the vehicle did not do the same thing again. I then asked what if it happens again then what? I was made promises that it shouldn't. This morning I am in the car with my 2 year old late for work reversing out EPC light comes ON and car switches off. Same story as Sunday night. I try to start again and nothing. I called the roadside assistance line and they took me through a process of speaking to a technician at the dealer who had to ask his manager permission to take me to work as I was running late with no alternate transport. That took forever until a neighbor assisted. Its been 3 hours since my car has arrived with the TOW truck at Audi West rand and no one has called to inform me that they received my car and who would be assigned to vehicle and contact me. I called The Audi SA Customer care to tell them my predicament as I did not want to speak directly to the dealership as they are very rude to customer and in my emotional state I cannot afford that. I asked them to enquire about a courtesy car for me and let me know. am still waiting. This is my 3rd Audi and it surely be last.
