I purchased an Audi thinking it was a premium vehicle with premium components. Not the case! Rear axle wheel bearings have failed before reaching 70K miles which is about 50% life according to Audi Service Advisor. They usually last 130K-150K miles and some much more. My vehicle is out of warranty so I asked for goodwill/policy from Audi or the dealer and was told by the Service Advisor in an email that no goodwill assistance will be given since I live and drive in an area of the country that is riddled with potholes. I still can't believe that was the reason. A premature failure and Audi is blaming potholes. We do have some potholes in Ohio but the streets and roads are not "riddled" with them and most drivers avoid them if they're paying attention.
I believe the bottom line was I didn't buy the vehicle from the dealer so they really didn't care to help in any way. Audi is not a premium, well built vehicle and not just because of this failure. Timing chain is also stretched on my vehicle and needs replaced (another $3K). This failure at 67K miles is just ridiculous. Interior is cheap and multiple plastic pieces are broken, not from abuse, just cheap. DO NOT BUY AN AUDI!!! You will regret it as I am.
