Q5

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

Took the car to the mechanic trying to find out why the oil light would turn on immediately after changing it. The mechanic inspected the vehicle, said it wasn't leaking and that he did not know what the problem was. Took the car the dealer and they performed a two part diagnostic test (costs @ $500) just to tell me the vehicle is guzzling oil and something to do with the pistons and it would cost me a few thousand dollars to repair. I explained this is a manufacturer defect and it is due to no fault of my own, but obviously they do not care once the vehicle is out of warranty.

I checked on line and called Audi to see if there was an additional recall to this problem, but there weren't any.

Today I am searching again and found that someone has pursued a lawsuit and I am sincerely hoping that this collective lawsuit reaches a positive out come.

Thank you to the individual who began this collective lawsuit!
