Q5 Premium Plus 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,800 miles

My Audi Q5 stopped running while driving home on Nov.7/2024. It was towed to Audi Warwick and I was quoted $17,000 for a new engine and $13,000 for used. Car has only $55,800 miles on it. AAA towed it to a Priority Auto Repair in West Warwick, RI that family had used in the past and he concurred that a new engine was needed and proposed a replacement could be ordered for $5825. He requested my cc # and proceeded to charge $6000. and then an additional $500. I questioned why and was told that their first engine was no good and that he got another with lower miles but cost more.

A week or so later he charged another $1700. and owner proceeded to say it was a mistake. He never refunded the "mistake" or fixed the car. On Dec17, 2024 my car was towed from Priority to Elite Auto in Warwick, RI. The owner is questioning if the motor that I purchased, and is still at Priority, is the proper one for my car but we have not been able to speak with the owner since November. He never returns calls and is never at the business when we go there. I am in limbo with no car since Nov. 7th!
