The contact owns a 2007 Audi Q7. The contact stated that an independent mechanic while performing a routine check, became aware of fuel leaking underneath the vehicle. The mechanic determined that the fuel pump flange was defective and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that there was an abnormal odor in the vehicle while driving prior to the vehicle being inspected. The vehicle was not repaired. Ed carroll Porsche (3003 South college avenue, fort collins, co 80525) was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was informed that vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 16V660000 (fuel system, gasoline) in 2016. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 18V818000 (fuel system, gasoline) as a possible solution to the failure however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure however, offered no additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 121,000.
