Q7 Premium Plus 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,650 miles

Vehicle was purchased new 03/02/2020. After a couple of months, it was down a quart of oil. I contacted the dealer. They stated that was common during break in period. I contacted them a number of times for the next year and a half explaining it continued to be down more oil. They stated again that it was common to break-in period. By 10,000 miles I had replaced four quarts of oil.

When it went in for it's 10,000 mile service, I had the dealer check the problem thoroughly. At that time they found the motor had spun a bearing and all the cylinders had been scored. They stated the motor needed to be replaced. They had the car one day less than Florida Lemon Law would have taken effect. They did do an excellent job of engine replacement, but what a pain in the butt. In forty five years of owning vehicles (over 20) I never had to replace a motor. I will say Audi Corporate was very good, they gave me options as to what to do with the vehicle. I ended up keeping it and so far, now with 20,000 miles on it, everything has been working well.
