I own a B8.5 S4 with the electromechanical steering module. I already had the 48k8 steering campaign completed by Audi dealer at about 1000 miles new. On highway speeds, driving in a straight line is like driving a Uhaul 26' truck towing a car dolly with a cross wind. The issue is NOT tramlining for crosswinds as I drive other vehicles on the same road at the same speed without the same issue. Switching between Dynamic and Comfort steering makes little change.
For a $50,000 car, I shouldn't need to resort to a $420.00 " Alu Kreuz" subframe brace to band aid the issue. If my previous MK6 GTI could handle the same roads with electromechanical steering, the S4 should be on the same level. Another example is when you over correct your boat in shallow water, you end up turning side to side, same sensation on a car, tons of minute over corrections side to side, gets annoying on long drives. The only way to keep this from happening is laying down on the right pedal.
This is obvious Audi engineers don't drive these cars as daily drivers for themselves.
