S6 S6 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,200 miles

2014 Audi S6 40k miles, with 4 oil changes with 5w30 507 spec oil up to 24,000 miles when I bought car. I would not have bought if 507 spec oil had not been used. I put into Audi Glasgow for a service and also had gear oil changed at 32k miles. Car went into limp mode on trip back from England, it had just clicked over 40,100 miles. Car was taken to Glasgow Audi who eventually changed both turbos but refused any goodwill gesture.

This vehicle had been basically pampered all its life and had benefited from lots of oil changes. Looking into faults on s6 and rs6s, there is a problem with these turbos or the strainers which are not up to the job. I had to pay the best part of £8000 to have this fixed. In a vehicle that costs in excess of £60k, this is definitely a serious problem that Audi have to face and rectify. Come on Audi - do the right thing and look at goodwill or a recall.
