On rainy days or if the hatchback has water sitting on it at all, the water will leak into the trunk when you open the lid up. The water from the rear window mostly will drain into the window groove and from there will spill over the sides where the hatch bends up to the window. It will follow the metal body around the edge and drips into the trunk. If you have a lot of water on the lid it will puddle in the trunk when you open it. It seems like a temporary work around is to only lift the lid about a foot and you can get most of it to drain how it's supposed to down the grooves. But you still get some water in the trunk. A little disappointed in this type of problem considering it's an Audi. It's annoying but nothing mechanical so I can live with it, as no car is perfect.
