Moonroof exploded on Interstate 526 in Charleston, S.C. -----BMW , thus far, has denied this being placed under warranty and claims a rock caused the damage. I have submitted a report, found on the internet, which states that a similar incident in Calif. a few years ago was actually investigated by a television channel who hired a mechanical engineer for an opinion. The bottom line is that a rock, unless it came from above the car, could not break a moonroof!! Possibly a meteorite could do it-------!! I continue to pursue so I don't have to use my $1,000 deductible on this $3,500 claim!!!!
