The contact owns a 2008 BMW 335I. While driving 30 mph, the vehicle was shifted into second gear, but lost power and failed to accelerate without warning. The contact was able to coast the vehicle to the side of the road, but the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the contact's job. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 17V067000 (power train). The failure mileage was 103,000.

I was driving at 60 miles per hour on woodall rogers fwy in dallas, when my car started shaking and went into limp mode. I pulled over on the highway and could not get the car to start again. I had the car towed to BMW. They said it had nothing to do with a previous recall about the fuel pump and gave me a $3,000 quote. I had it towed to an independent shop where they replaced a water pump and other items. However, the recall information I have been reading describes exactly what happened to my car. Whenever I drive my car now and I accelerate, it still gives me an engine warning and starts shaking. I believe my car is "suffering" from the water pump issue.

The vehicle started making a loud knocking sound while driving on the highway at approximately 65 mph. (video was taken) the oil pressure dropped, a battery indicator light flashed, the power steering went out, and the vehicle lost speed. I almost wreaked. I checked my steering wheel fluid and it was brown, an indication to me the power steering pump went out. A belt also snapped. I purchased an extended warranty that BMW is telling me does not cover the A/C compressor. I am being told that in order for BMW of fresno to make a proper assessment of the steering issue I first have to replace the A/C compressor at $2535.34. As a fleet manager, I know my chain is being yanked.

The contact owns a 2008 BMW 335I. The contact stated that the vehicle was extremely slow to pick up speed. The contact applied force to the accelerator pedal to pick up speed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who diagnosed that the fuel pump assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who diagnosed that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 78,000.

I was going over a small bump in the road at 30 mph and my engine mount failed. All four aluminum bolts sheared off and the engine dropped. This drop snapped my passenger drive shaft (half axle) in two pieces. I think BMW has a serious problem with the strength of the engine mount hardware. The engine mount bolts should be stronger. The failure mode is dangerous.

I was warming up the car in the morning for work, it was on for about ten minutes; as I sat down put the car in reverse I heard a noise and my car shut down. I turned my car back on and drove for a short period before noticing that there was not any air blowing.... I took it the mechanic a day later to replace the blower motor.... the problem was not the blower motor, the problem was a rectangle shaped cable for four prongs but only three where connected to the blower motor melted and burned out the cable. The mechanic followed the cable and cut the affected burned corroded rusted !!! part of the cable, and replaced it..... if I wasn't looking he would have charged me for a blower....and maybe more !!! I honestly do think BMW should fix this problem... two days later my driver side window switch when out- I purchased one at orielys auto parts; the water pump also failed the same day and my car over heated that made the total over 2 grand in less than a week!!!, but my blower works perfect wtf !!! everything began that morning.... because of the cable that shorted !!! oh and on top of that the turbo is making noises and I think its failing now!!!

Car jumps forward 10-20 feet. Brake stops car and kills engine. Clutch pedal remained against firewall. Clutch had not disengaged from engine. Pedal location enables start sequence. Pulled pedal back to normal position and quick checked for proper operation. Went to dealer 09/20/2010, dealer could not replicate conditions therefore no repairs offered.

Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) to whom it may concern: The 2008 BMW 335xi I have got engine over heated warming sigh pop out from car computer and the car lose the power right away while I was still driving on the fast lane on the free way which almost got me in accident front the car behind twice. I brought the car in to the dealer and they said there is error record showing my car engine been over heated but they cannot do anything about it that I need to contact bmwna for solution. I did some research about my car does not come with the oil cooler which should original come install in the car since the car has sport package and bmwna been doing retrofit to many other cars already. I mention that while bmwna contact me but they said they cannot do anything about it even with the car did record engine over heated problem unless I over heated the car at the dealership then they will consider fixing the problem. Also since I am the second owner of the vehicle they are not going to od the oil cooler refrofit for me. I ask bmwna they should take care this problem since the car is only 1 and half year old and the problem should be take car by warranty but they said they cannot do anything to fix it. This already have some serious safety issues since they know this car need to be putting oil cooler in order not to get it overheated and lose power while driving. Bmwna did the retrofit for first owner but I guess they do not consider the life of the second as important as the first owner too. Maybe they will state looking at the engine overheated problem like Toyota when serious problem start. Please look into this case for some second owner of BMW that bmwna trying to ignore. Thank you [xxx]
