  • Automatic transmission

I love this car. Everything is perfect about it except for the transmission. Low maintenance requirements, just normal wear and tear items but now the transmission is starting to fail. Unfortunately this car was not offered with a manual transmission in USA like it was in Europe. If they had sold it with the manual in the US, there would be no reason to complain about this car. The dealer estimated cost to replace the automatic transmission was almost $13,000. I would have considered that even though it is equal to what the car is worth but replacement is not possible because the transmission has been discontinued and is no longer available. I hope to drive it until the transmission dies and then swap in a manual transmission from a European model.
