This BMW was in great shape. Parked in garage all the time.
Not driven extensively. One day, radiator ruptured and emulsified oil the color of tan paint and consistency of melted peanut butter was filling the radiator, which blew all thive over the engine. In the end, the best option was to fix with a non-guaranteed engine for $6k, or insert a new BMW engine with guarantees for $10K. Car was only worth $6500 as a normal trade-in with a working engine, so elected to scrap for $900. What a waste and disappointment.
BMW engines less than 10 or 15 years old with little mileage just should not get cracked heads! Last BMW I will buy. Got a Chrysler 300Limited to replace it.
