Driving on Turnpike the "oil pressure low" came up. I drove for about 5 minutes to my exit. Once I exited the highway, the car went to Neutral and never worked again. Arriving at the shop, the diagnose was oil pump failure. The absurd thing is there was no other lights of warning before and the car was driving perfectly. How could a car go from driving well to 5 minutes after the "oil pressure low" completely fails to the point it needed a new engine ($15,000 job).
Very disappointed at BMW lately for multiple reasons, I was lucky my extended warranty was expiring in 2 months and I was able to make them approve the claim, after they said we are not going to cover it twice. When we pay premium price we expect premium quality and premium service. Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit, BMW can't get away this easy.

Total engine failure for me. 93k on the clock. 2012 528i. Dealership said it looks like "something" came lose in the engine. Without tearing down, setting expectations of a new engine and possible turbo....on ME.
