The contact owns a 2013 BMW 740li. The contact stated that the passenger side trunk piston fractured and the lid crashed onto the contact's back. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the passenger side trunk piston and lid needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000. Updated 12/30/14
