I purchased this car in June of 2019. I received a carfax report before the purchase. The car was very clean inside and outside. I was pleased with th car until it started smoking every time the engine got warm. I had to keep adding oil almost every two to three days. Every time I stopped, for traffic, red light or started from a stop position blue smoke would come from exhaust and there is a horrible smell of burnt oil and antifreeze. My car progressively got worst until white smoke steam would come from under the hood and every time I drov E short distances I would have to add engine coolant. Before this happened, I had to have an oil changed and a checkup at the BMW dealership in April, (the car was smoking and smelling like engine coolant. I was informed then that there had been an lawsuit against BMW for not advising the owners of certain models and engines would have the above mentioned problem. I was told if I had brought my car in before Feb. 2020, I would be eligible for the benefits entitled to owners of this engine. But because I didn't bring my car in, time had expired. I also learned that there was a recall on my car which parts had to be ordered for and were later added to my vehicle by the dealership. I was not notified about the lawsuit relating to the engine problems by the selling shea used cars, formally patsy lou, mega lot or grand blanc motorsports (BMW dealership) that informed in April about the lawsuit. If I had been notified regarding my car I would responded appropriately. Now to properly fix my car I need $15,227.38. I am of course now paying for a car that I can't enjoy because of this issued. Any and all help would be appreciated.

The vehicle was driven approximately 10 minutes to the grocery store, parked, we shopped, 30 minutes later, drove back home, again about 10 minutes. Backed the vehicle into my driveway and shut the vehicle off. Groceries were unloaded while my girlfriend was trying to get my 18 month daughter out of the car seat. She did, came inside and approximately 2 minutes later a neighbor slammed on my door saying that the vehicle was smoking from the engine compartment. I went outside, tried to relieve the issue with an extinguisher, this did not remedy the situation. The smoke increased, I was afraid to pop the hood due to risk of oxygen exposure to what I assumed was in active fire. 911 was called, minutes later the entire compartment was fully engulfed with flames. Fire department arrived and extinguished the fire.

I purchased the 2010 BMW 750 li in Oct 2017. In April 2018, I began to have issues and messages constantly popped up concerning engine temp drive moderately and drivetrain malfunction. I kept the car's maintenance up, however, even a week after an oil & filter change, I'd get the low oil warnings & needed to add oil constantly. Oil was leaking bad. The car would get up to 35-40 mph (between 1 & 2 RPM) & start shaking or wouldn't shift over. I'd have to press accelerator down to accelerate to atleast 70 mph so the shaking & vibration could stop. The car was taken to a BMW repair shop in 08/28/2018. Ignition coils, spark plugs, oil change, filters, all were replaced. Brake fluid was flushed as well. The oil issue never stopped. After months of adding oil every few days, the car was taken back to the BMW shop (April 2019). At that point, I was told to take to the BMW repair shop dealership, where they diagnosed & they performed the N63 engine recall repairs in May 2019. The smoking subsided, but in July 2019, the car was back in BMW's repair shop because it had now gotten the same readings but it had also begun to smoke badly, upon starting, stopping at traffic lights or stop signs. Along with engine temp lights, and drivetrain malfunction. The car was repaired again. Engine temp light came on every day as soon as I crunk the car. The service manager told me it would go off in July 2019, after the repairs. December 2019, engine temp light is still on. Again, several lights are now on. Drivetrain malfunction also and the car is not shifting properly, as before. It's vibrating at 35 mph. Because it's the holidays, the BMW dealership and service department are closed. First thing tomorrow, I will be back there. I have to work and afraid that the car will eventually give out on me. It's all I have. I'm basically working to fix the car!

Just had a new factory engine put in my 2010 BMW 750li under a class action lawsuit, in August 2019. December 2019 wife was driving car to grocery store and engine suddenly started bucking and smell of gas was overwhelming. She was in traffic at the time and could not maintain proper speed on the 50mph highway and lost total power. She nursed car into a nearby parking lot. It was snowing out and had to wait for a tow truck for an hour in freezing temperatures. Aside from the overwhelming fuel smell, almost caused accident by not being able to maintain proper speed, she was waiting in freezing temperatures for tow truck. This, I found out, is a very big problem with these cars. Its was a fuel injector that caused the issue. This is truely a safety hazard for the public. And an extremely expensive fix. BMW has many complaints about the fuel injectors, but seem to ignore the issue and profit heavily from the customers loss. Please do something about this issue.

Engine will not pass smog test due to engine valves unusual wear. The vehicle has 71,000 miles and my mechanic (rheem valley automotive) indicates there is a soft recall and the engine needs to be replaced. The engine light came on and the diagnostic test showed abnormal results. The car is still drivable, but will not past the smog requirement test for a California license renewal.

The contact owns a 2010 BMW 750li. While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The failure recurred three times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine fuel injector caused the vehicle to stall and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that most of the time the vehicle would restart, but other times it failed to restart and had to be towed to a dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the warranty would cover part of the fuel injection failure, but the other part would not be covered. The approximate failure mileage was 50,917.

Car had four injectors replaced. When dealer was finished with the car the valet guy was bringing the car out only to realize that the car was still running rough, after further diagnosis the dealership discovered that there were other injectors that were faulty and refuse to replace them under their customer care plan. I'm stuck with this car and dealer refuses to fix knowing that it's a defect on their part instead they want me to pay $4000 to fix the problem.

I purchased a pre-owned 2010 BMW 750li back in November 2012. As soon as I drove it off the beverly hills BMW lot, I got a check engine light go off. Beverly hills wrote it off as it was the gas sensor being sensitive. Found out later it was the fuel injectors that went bad on a car with 23,000 miles on. Fast forward 2 years later and 30,000 miles, with multiple stops at sterling BMW and my complaints of having to put quart of oil into the engine every 2000 miles. For 2 years, sterling advised me it was normal for this type of engine to consume that much oil and for all the other engine problems. I have brought the car in for over 6 times (ever other month almost) to the dealer to fix numerous problems with the engine (not normal wear and tear). Then comes the "recall" BMW calls the "comfort care package" and was promised it would resolve the oil consumption with better performance in January 2015. After the recall, my engine required oil every 500 miles and when I brought it back to BMW in April 2015, they advised me it was a hose leak and oil was dripping down to exhaust causing excess smoke from the exhaust. Now BMW of northern America tells me they don't cover the repair because it was our of warranty despite my complaints (which have been documented by sterling for 2 years). The comfort care package made my oil leak worst and into the exhaust and BMW refuses to repair the problem or even remove their comfort care package. It's been more then 2 years since I and my 2 year old daughter have been breathing in this excess smoke from my exhaust which BMW refuses to repair. This engine is a complete lemon.
