The contact owns a 2010 BMW 750li. While the vehicle was being driven at unknown speeds, it overheated. The vehicle was taken to BMW greenwich and BMW mamaroneck service (110 midland ave, port chester, NY 10573, (914) 881-3600) where it was diagnosed that the auxiliary water pump and water pump sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 11V521000 (engine and engine cooling). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 72,000.
