problem #1

M3 Conv 3.2L 6 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 88,000 miles

This is a common problem among smg owners.Transmission gear indicator goes into neutral and the car wont move. And then if you turn it off it won't start back because the pump is no longer working to depress the clutch. the recall on the pumps go out at 50 0r 60k miles I think.

And the warranty on the new hydraulic pump for the transmission and clutch system I has only a year warranty even as done by the dealer. needless to say 2 years later same problem!
