I have a 2007 BMW X3 with both rear spring broken never have I seen this and also all four engine mount bolts are snapped. I'm the only one that drives it, so I know nothing traumatic has happened to it.

The contact owns a 2007 BMW X3. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for service when the contact was informed that the two rear coil springs were broken. The cost they quoted to replace the coil springs was $909 plus tax. The mileage at the time the broken coil springs were discovered was 29,706 miles. This vehicle is always garaged and rarely driven in bad weather. The underside of the vehicle is clean and has no rust. The collapsing suspension due to coil spring failure seems to be a growing problem.reports indicate a big increase in the number of broken coil springs.the simple fact is that the coil springs are lighter and prone to failure.the manufacturer is well aware of this problem and this should be a safety recall due to the dangers caused by the spring failure.the manufacture was notified.
