Vehicle electrical system has failed due to corrosion in wiring harness from leaking rear wiper fluid line. The wiper fluid line is bundled together inside the vehicle wiring harness. Wiper fluid line defective at time of vehicle assembly. Design engineering blunder to package a fluid line inside an electrical harness. Root cause for failure is manufacturer aware of the problem and have issued a service bulletin but manufacturer unwilling to repair under warranty due to lapsed warranty period not mileage criteria. Problem identified at 24,779 miles. More detailed description is attached. Vehicle safety systems, driving stability systems, cruise control function, have been compromised and do not function. Diagnostics systems and warning lights all stay lit on the dash. No way to tell if any of the electronic systems, emission systems, sensors and actuators are working properly.

Nothing happened (yet) but BMW service tells me there's no recalls that need to be taken care of on my vehicle

Only have my car for only a year. Taillight from passenger side: The running light defects when I hit the brake the brake light comes on. I was told I need to replace the whole assembly light and this is well known for this car. Yesterday, while I was driving. My driver restraint light came on and my A/C or temperature control stopped working, and control display stopped working. I am not able to move the driver seat. Just brought in to the dealer for the PCV valve heater recall service. Was told this may solve the issues and may not. If not, there should be a recall for the taillight, airbag and the control display issues.

Takata recall: The dealer had failed to obtain the part or parts necessary to fix the airbags problem for more than six months already since they claimed had ordered the parts. I called back, made appointment, confirmed appointment and when I went back to dealer, they said they did not have the part. They said they were ordering it and will call me back. Weeks had passed and I have not heard from the dealer about this issue. I would not want to wait until an accident happens and then it would be too late.

While driving a message popped up on the display stating that the vehicle was experiencing a chassis stabilization problem and that we needed to drive moderately. Also all of the instrument cluster indicator lights have come on, causing the concern for a safe vehicle now. Also passenger restraint indication illuminates periodically.

The passenger restraint system is malfunctioning. This is a common problem that BMW X3 cars have. We have the sports edition and despite several attempts to fix the problem the sensor in the mat continue to indicate the air bag will not deploy if we have an accident despite how severe that accident is. We have contacted the BMW dealership and they pretended of knowing nothing about similar complaints or of a recall on the sensor in the seat mat. It will cost us about 1,000 dollars to fix. Yet most to all BMW owners of the X3 series, especially the sports edition have the same problem.
