The contact stated that the rear hatch became ajar. The contact stated that there were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact pulled over and locked closed rear hatch. The vehicle was not repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were contacted or informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
