There are numerous problems with this car I have. I owe money on this car that I can't drive. Even worse the cost to fix this car is more than what I owe and it is all because of a defect in their parts that they will not recall for. BMW wants over $20,000.00 to fix timing chain, oil pump and new engine along with other issues. This is insane and outrageous.

I went in for an oil change and the next day the drivetrain light came on. I took it back to the service center on Monday and they are telling me it's the Vanos System and the timing guides are broken. WTH is going on and why is it going to cost $5800 to fix it. Just got of warranty, this is my first BMW and may just be my last.

BMW is the WORST company on the planet. They manufactured bad drive trains, which blew up engines. And worst of all the refuse to take care of customers. I bought a used 2013 X3 for $13,000, the engine blew up five months later and then I found out about the class action lawsuit. This has affected hundreds of customers.
I had to pay another $7,000 for a whole new engine, which by the way was 60% of the cost, they graciously gave me a "discount". Which is terrible. They promised me it would NEVER happen again. Well, it happened again. It was 2 1/2 years after purchasing a BRAND NEW ENGINE the drive train malfunction happened again. Which, I read on-line it has happened to a lot of customers.
I took it to the dealership in Minnetonka, MN and they suggested a buy a new car from them...It was going to be $2100 to look at it and probably another $8,000 to $10,000 to fix. They were going to do NOTHING to fix their product that they sold someone which has known and very POOR manufacturing.
The bottom line is: NEVER BUY A BMW. THE COMPANY BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT SUCKS!!!
BMW SUCKS so much as an organization - do not buy one and if you do, make sure you have enough money to throw it away.
