Headlight wires are made poorly. Susceptible to heat damage. The wire insulation cracks off, leaving bare copper wires to touch. Therefore, the low beams, etc will no longer function. The only solution is $3,000+ on new headlights.

The complete windshield washing system stopped working during an extended road trip. Pumps no longer engage. Because the washing system stopped working, this has contributed to the destruction of all wipers on the car. Failure of the washer pumps and relays is a very common issue with bmws.
