This is the 2nd time in less than 6 months this has happened. the first time it was a $500 deductible and i was without my car of a week (i do have a rental car covered in my insurance). But missed several day(s) of work dealing with this on my own time.
The second time, the glass dealer covered my glass as it was less than 6 months, the insurance "covered" the labor. also had to miss time at work to deal with this and get it to the shop. However this time i do not have a rental car as this is not being charged by my insurance company, so this is a big hassle.
I currently do not have the VIN as it is still in the shop. it will be close to 2 weeks without my vehicle due to the repair.
