This problem originally occurred in January 2020. The battery and key fob battery were replaced and I was told mice like to eat the wire harnesses within the electrical system under the dashboard (not sure where that came from but apparently that's what I was told). After that repair, I drove the car for another month with no real issue. However, it did take awhile for the vehicle to clear itself of any and all faults before I began to shift into gear during the month I drove the car.

On 3/09/2020, it rained and the car was not driven. I start the car on 3/11/2020 and my dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree. Every fault light comes on and blinks, Electrical systems malfunction! Continued driving is not possible. Have the system checked by the nearest BMW center, is what my screen read. Once again, I'm up in arms with the electrical bugs and flaws.
