The contact owns a 2009 BMW X6. While driving at approximately 60 mph, the hot temperature warning light illuminated and the engine stalled. The vehicle had to cool down in order for the vehicle to restart. The failure recurred twice. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure and the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 11V521000 (engine and engine cooling). The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.
