Car was in an accident, right rear tire got damaged. Car towed to dealership. Has been there for 4 months now! Initially told parts ordered from Germany. After weeks had passed, was told no one had any idea when they would be coming in. Was told no one could trace the shipment and we must wait. Another few weeks passed by. Was told parts are in short supply even though the car is being made, therefore parts must be being made too. Was then given tentative date of late August 2020, it's been more then a month now. The part finally arrived and was told car would be ready and of this month. Then apparently it turned out that when sent to service for an alignment, the alignment inspection revealed it needs a " camber adjustment kit replaced." Apparently this wasn't known beforehand. So now this part is awaited and final completion date unknown. It's been 4 months, since June 8th. BMW customer service has been nightmare to work work, refusing to listen to us, refusing to help solve the problem. I'm paying for the car each month butnot using it. We tried to get them to remit the payments for the months we haven't used....We called at least 8-10 times, we would be simply punted from one department to the next, with each claiming they are not responsible, even though bmw financial is what takes the payment! How is a vehicle being sold and it doesn't have parts? And how is it that any shipments from the headquarters is not tracked? And the maker is simply happy to take our money without any regard to helping its customer out. This has been an awful experience and I will NEVER recommend BMW to any person, nor buy/lease one ever.
