problem #2

Century Special 2.2L I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 81,400 miles

This problem wouldn't have been too terrible, but the water got into cylinder 2, causing the spark plug electrode to break off and scratch the cylinder wall. This also lead to the head cracking and warping, which ended u being cheaper to replace the whole head. While it was apart I had the crankshaft sensor and plug wires replaced as the wires are difficult to change while the head is on and the crankshaft sensor is a common point of failure. Also did the standard belts, hoses, filters, spark plugs, thermostat, etc.

I bought the car from someone and it get on my nerves when i'm driving and it cut's off without warning. Most of the time it starts right back up, but sometimes it may be about 5 minutes to get it going. I'm not for sure what the problem is, but i would really appreciate if someone could help me out. This has really been a bad money investment.
