I have only owned this car for a couple of months. Bought it because of the low mileage
for my son to drive. It has been nothing but a problem with the tail lights across the
trunk. They leak and I have had to replace 2 receptacles, 2 tail lights, 2 back up lights
and 2 tag lights. Talked with a body man who has had other people coming to him regarding this same problem. Said he replaced the entire light across the trunk for a
guy which he had to order 4 times before he even got a new one that did not leak. This
is a very bad design problem with the Buick. You do not need that many tail lights that
go all the way across the trunk of the car. One on each side would be sufficient. It is
just more lights to blow and have to replace. Will not ever buy another Buick because
of this. It is a real pain. You have to worry about your lights getting wet every time it
rains. Then you are afraid the lights are going to blow and then you have to worry about
being stopped and getting a ticket all the time until you can get them replaced. Replacing them is another pain because you have to take the entire light harness off
the car to replace just 1 of the bulbs. It holds 8 long screws. It is over $500.00 to order
a new one and there is not guarantee that it will not leak either. This should have been
a recall on the 2003 Buick Century because it is a real pain. Makes me dislike the
entire car.
