Century Custom 3.1L V6

I thought I was getting a good deal from the dealership on this car. It was like new with only 8,276 miles on it at the time of purchase. Over the past year and three months I have owned it, the brakes got much worse with the pulsating. Don't get me wrong, but I know ABS are supposed to pulsate to some degree. It got so bad that the whole car shook when you put the brakes on at relatively low speeds (30-40 mph.) And on the freeway braking for a stoplight at 55 mph, look out! I decided to take it into the garage to see what the problem is. They road tested it and said that it was the rear brake rotors having a lot of rust build up on them, causing the pad to not fully come in contact with the rotor. Every time it thumped, it was hitting those rust spots. So, they replaced them for $221.29. They also had to lube and clean a slide in there as well. Tell me, what would cause it to rust out at only 16,540 miles? Is it a defective part? The dealership is not worth bothering, because the salesman even said I didn't need the extended warranty due to the car being only 4 yrs. old at the time and with only 8,000 miles on it. My loss, I guess...
