This happened in April 2026. I had bought the car on Jan 2022 with 108k miles on it. While driving the car back home, I heard a sound which I thought was a muffler leak or something. As I got closer to home, it became a rattle sound. I was convinced it was the muffler. pickup was low at this point. But I got home and parked. When I attempt to start the next morning, it started with that rattle sound, but did not move. Had to tow it to a local mechanic. He inspected and said engine rebuild is needed. Towed it to another mechanic for a second opinion and he said there is a misfire in a couple of cylinders and will need engine work that could cost 4k. Have always done synthetic oil change every 5000 miles. I was hoping it would run for another 2 years. I had already noticed a slip in transmission in the last 3 months. so decided to dump the car and gave it to a junk yard. I was disappointed the buick enclave only ran 138k. the drive was always good and I liked the drive and comfort of this car. Too bad it only lasted 138k. GM reliability is still bad.
