Purchased 2012 Buick enclave brand new, car has been nothing but problems since day one. A/C problems, Front brakes, Water pump, power steering pump, motor mounts. And now at 72000 miles, rack and pinion gear box leaking, took to dealership where we purchased, was told by service advisor they have same steering gear box issues with many 2012 Enclaves. I was told the repair would be $2,000 not covered by GM. I was also told this is a very dangerous condition and repair needs to be done ASAP. You would think GM would step up and fix this, but no such luck. I will be contacting an attorney.

while turning onto parking lot steering wheel froze briefly and I was able to pull hard on wheel and it started working again. didn't think much about it it only happened two to three times to me until MY WIFE goes off on ME when it happened to her. NO codes but I know service techs at dealer and will get it to them ... It feels like fluid is bypassing seal to back side of piston in rack causing back pressure on steering rack

I have had multiple annoyance issues with this vehicle. This steering issue is making it impossible for my wife to drive her car. At low speed she can not turn the steering wheel to pull into or out of a parking space. All indications are the rack is crapped out. Just another victim of GM's unbelievably poor product quality. GM needs to own their inferior product and design and make this steering issue right.
