Enclave Premium 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 111,950 miles

I bought this enclave from Jim Taylor Chevrolet in Rayville La . Before I bought it I test drove it and it did fine. So I signed the papers and on the way home I noticed a shudder and called the salesman and he said bring it in on the morning and they would look it over. So the next day I take it back and they tell me it was bad front strut. So when I get it back and heading home it still did the same shuddering and I called salesman again and told him he said bring it back. When I did they said they couldn't find anything wrong. So I took it and had the trans fluid changed and it helped it for about 1600 miles and then started back shuddering again. So had the trans oil changed again and added shudder fix and still it was shuddering a little. So I call back to Jim Taylor Chevrolet and they told me it was normal and bring it back and they would check it again. I paid 14000 for this and I took it to a transmissions specialist and they told me that GM models with this style transmission was notorious for this and I would have to change the transmission to fix the issue. GM knew what was wrong they were giving me the run around and now they said I put 14000 miles on it it's wear and tear. I'm very made and don't know what to do and can't afford 4500 dollars to fix it. What can I do to get out of this bad deal I'm stuck because I'm dissabled and on a fixed income. I want to just drive this my right through the freaking doors of the place. I'm in the means of talking to a lawyer and suing them. Can someone tell me what I can do?

Car hesitates anytime your trying to pass another car on highway or anytime you may have to jump on the gas for a second. Basically, it doesn't for it. Jumps to 5000 rmp, makes a hard shift then goes. Something I should get looked at but it just something I decided to baby and treat like a grandma car. So, I never hit the gas hard and I let it shift slowly like it wants to. Man it would be nice to have a car that can actually go 0 to 60 in a reasonable amount of time without tearing apart the transmission.

Enclave Limited 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 96,687 miles

The engine seems to be fine but at cursing speed the vehicle shutters as if between gears. I have had a few mechanics look at it and no confirmed cause. Just a lot of speculation. I believe GM just churns our junk as a dealer incentive to over charge for shop time in the dealers garages.

Told by dealer to replace torque converter. Enclave was hesitating at 20-30 mph. Dealer also recommended just trading vehicle in. I've on;y had it around 4 years and am still making payments. Took car to another specialist for their option. Said replacing torque would just be a band-aid and with their experience the last few years with the Enclave, we would just need to come back in and get a new transmission.
