My wife was driving our 2013 Buick Enclave, with 84,445 miles, when the engine just quit in the middle of an intersection. It would not restart. Car was towed to AAA repair shop. They determined that the crankshaft was frozen/seized and would not turn. The estimate to teardown the engine, rebuild it, and return it to service was over $9,000 including labor. A new General Motors 3.5L V-6 crate engine was installed which cost me $9.422.81. We drove the car for two months and, on 1/5/2020 the new engine caught fire in a Walmart parking lot. The insurance company has totaled the car.
